Much like I’m primarily interested in the Peace Walker remake for the PS3 in the upcoming Metal Gear Solid collection headed to both systems, I’d pick up the Devil May Cry re-releases only for the third iteration, Devil May Cry 3: Dante’s Awakening Special Edition, the US remix of the originally JP-only, crushingly hard Devil May Cry 3. I played the heck out of that game back in the day, so maybe I could claw most of my way to a Platinum trophy if I gave it a shot.

As for the actual content for this week’s podcast, we cover all sorts of crazy stuff including the idea of whether pricing for downloadable games should drive the price of games downwards, the new Sony Play event and yes, how Fourhman wishes to be swaddled in a comfortable baby bjorn nested on Haygood’s chest.

This week on the Aeropodcast, Fourhman, Haygood and Stephen discuss what might have been behind the recent decision from Nintendo to cut the price of the 3DS by $80.  Did they feel the pressure of the Vita shipping at the end of the year at the same price, or could it have been due to slow sales for the device after four months.  Or is it the pains of having to compete against the likes of the Android and iPhone devices that are selling us games for a $1.00 a pop.  We look at all of those avenues, as well as answering a question from Harshy about whether it is wiser to buy a 3DS now and get all the free games Nintendo is offering, or just wait for the price cut to get it.

Originally at E3, when we talked to the good folks at CD Projekt, they had hoped to have The Witcher 2 ready to ship on the Xbox 360 by the end of the Holiday 2011 calendar.  However, it seems that making a game for a new platform, rather than just doing a simple port is taking a little longer than expected, so the team confirmed today that The Witcher 2 is moving into the Q1 2012 release calendar.

Now I, like most others, hate to see games delayed, because it means we have to wait longer to play them, but I think this is a great course of action by CD Projekt.  The Witcher 2 is a great title, and having more time not only allows for more polish and a smoother game experience for Xbox 360 fans, it also allows  the title to have some room to breathe, as the Q4 2011 calendar is really stacked with a lot of A-List titles.  The Q1 2012 moves it from the lucrative holiday selling season, but it allows The Witcher 2 more time on shelves in a less crowded period of time.

It also allows CD Projekt time to sort out the legal quagmire with the recent change of distributors in Europe, where Namco Bandai has challenged the recent publishing agreement between CD Projekt and THQ to distribute The Witcher 2 on Xbox 360 in Europe.

This week on the Aeropodcast, we celebrate the San Diego Comic Con by talking about some of the best, and worst that have come to gamers with superhero adaptations.  Of course, the game above is mentioned, but we look at some classic titles and more when it comes to superhero games.

Also, we talk up the recent clearance bonanza for those that visited CheapAssGamer.com and got in on the $15 Guitar Hero/DJ Hero bundles.  Who went in, and who skipped out on this deal.  We were also joined by S-Tip in the episode who, as most cool kids do, talks about himself in the third person and talks about the trials and tribulations of being in a multi-million dollar selling band.

Harmonix is set to release a trio of new tracks for Dance Central that will get your feet moving in July.  First up is one of the songs that defined my childhood, and that would be “Planet Rock” by Afrika Bambaataa and the Soul Sonic Force, a great tune using a dance infused backing track from Kraftwerk.  Next up is “Break My Heart” by Taio Cruz, a huge hit for him off of his 2009 album, “Rokstarr”.  Lastly is a track from Trey Songz called, “Say Aah”, which I can safely say I have not heard, but the kids seem to love it.

All of these tracks can be had for 240 MS Points and contain move charts and step by step charts for learning the tracks front to back.  Of course, a full copy of Dance Central is required, and the title is exclusive to Kinect.  Yes, I am sure you all know that, but there will be that one person that downloads the track and then comes back and wants to sue us for not disclosing all the important info.

“Break Your Heart”was the lead single off of UK artist Taio Cruz’s second studio album, Rokstarr. The infectious pop hit peaked at No. 1 in the United States, United Kingdom and Canada and has dominated US airwaves since its release in 2009.

In the second half of our double header podcast post today, Fourhman and Haygood talk about the decision by Capcom to use a single save game that cannot be deleted, meaning that things unlocked will stay unlocked.  Is it a big deal that only one person can unlock this stuff, or for this style of game it does not matter as much?  We also talk about the idea that this is solely being done with this title to remove the option of trading in the game, as the game would in a sense, be broken for a future owner, as everything would be unlocked.

We also have a quick discussion on the idea of Wii U for people and if it can be successful as well as the recent Supreme Court decision on California’s violent video game law.

Okay fans, we have some good and bad news with this podcast.  First off, the good – it is the only time you will probably get to hear Fourhman try to talk gangster in response to my comments about the meaning of the number 187 (the penal code for murder in California).  The bad – there were some issues with the recording tracks with bleedthrough on one of the audio tracks.  Sorry about that.
