Hothead Games has posted up another great “Ask Dr. Mike” feature, however, the surprise is that it does not star Dr. Mike.  Yeah, I was weirded out by that as well, but no matter, as this video will probably play out better for the speedrun folks in the audience. 

Ask Dr. Mike Episode 4 focuses on running through a level to see how high a score you can post while being timed.  In this mode, you are always wanting to keep your multiplier boosted, and never letting the time multiplier run out.  It is very challenging and will require, as the developers say, strategic killing of your Swarmites from time to time to keep things controllable.

Yesterday, Atlus announced a new mode of gameplay for their Spring 2010 XBLA title, Zeno Clash: Ultimate Edition called Rush Mode.  In Rush Mode, you are presented with a set amount of enemies and you have to beat them all down before the timer runs out.  Adding into the mayhem of racing against the clock is a Time Hammer weapon which levels a lot of damage, but takes time off the clock whenever you use it.

So, what can you get done in under eleven minutes?  Maybe make some rice, wash some dishes, finish Super Mario Brothers, or some other task, right?  Well, the video above is a new speedrun, finishing Elder Scrolls Oblivion in roughly 11 minutes.  Of course, he does find a glitch that he can exploit, by falling through a dungeon, but really, shouldn’t that have been caught in QA testing?
