Nostalgia: The 1996 Doom Comic Book

Feeling a need for the blast from the past, I picked this link up from Shawn Elliott’s Twitter feed.  Yep, that is the cover from the Doom one shot comic from 1996.  It is almost a faithful representation of the game in comic book form, complete with weapons lying on the floor, and lots of blood splattering.

Here is a link to the full comic, and all of the inside panels, and I have to say that I really wanted to own this book, but could never find it at my local comic store.

Dead Space Comic Video: 1st Issue

The folks at EA working on the horrificly-themed, upcoming Xbox 360, PS3 and PC game - Dead Space have sent us this very cool, illustrative comic book video written and illustrated by Ben Templesmith of 30 Days of Night and Anthony Johnston of Wasteland.
