Autumn Moon Studios has released a new trailer for “A Vampyre Story”, and I have to say that so far the game is looking top notch. Everything about this game screems old school adventuring fun, and it is nice to see a LucasArts veteran go back to the genre that made them famous beyond Star Wars.
After being in development hell for so long, it is nice to see this game shaping up well for an October release in Europe. Looks like a definite import for me unless they find a US distributor.
Long in development, and lacking a publisher, A Vampyre Story has now finished development, and today, picked up a publisher.
Ascaron Entertainment has picked up the title, and is looking to release the game on October 31st, fitting perfectly into the theme of the game.
Developed by Bill Tiller, of Lucasarts fame, and Autumn Moon Entertainment, A Vampyre Story stars Mona De Lafitte, a singer who is unwillingly brought into the world of vampires by Shrowdy Von Kiefer. Trapped in an existence that has no meaning for her, Mona decides to escape her confinement in Draxsylvania Castle, and become an opera singer in Paris.
A Vampyre Story is a traditional point and click style adventure game, with a lot of hand drawn animation for the game. Click the jump for the full press release.
