Joe, Fourhman and Stephen are back for another rousing podcast full of game discussion and TV nostalgia. After discussing our games, and some of the New Years events that we held, we talked about the upcoming year and what might be in store for gamers in 2009. Check out our thoughts, predictions and needs for the new calendar year.
Our community corner stacks in a lot of questions, including our three favorite titles for a desert island stay, favorite TV shows, forum icons, and another marry/boff/kill question that is a little less controversial than last week. In the news, we have stories around Sony’s definition of beta, a Skate 2 demo coming and two big celebs join the WiiFit crowd.
This week our bumper music comes from some of the great TV shows we recommended, including Airwolf, Sealab 2021, Firefly, V: The Series and Twin Peaks. The podcast is put together by the Aeropause Mixmaster, Stephen Munn, and his twin turntables of steel.

Beside giving me a good reason to post pictures of Jelena Jankovic, Electronic Arts has announced that they are starting a new tennis franchise
EA Tennis will first be coming to the Nintendo Wii platform in 2009, and will come out for other platforms shortly thereafter. EA Tennis will be the first game from Electronic Arts to use the upcoming Wii Motion Plus attachment for the Wii remote.
Also, an Electronic Arts announcement would not be complete without some form of exclusivity, the new tennis game will be the only place where you will find All England Lawn Tennis Club, home of Wimbledon.

Anyone that has played Gran Turismo or even Forza as of late, understands the need to constantly look at the telemetry data that is generated to tweek and adjust your car to maximize performance. There are people that will spend hours pouring over this data, hoping to find the best way to setup their car to win the next race. For these people, it is all about getting to first place in the lowest possible time imaginable.

Well, a couple of podcasts ago, we discussed the fact that Prototype was scrapping its multiplayer component to focus on a sharper and immersive single player experience. Well, today, the other shoe dropped, with Sierra announcing the delay of Prototype until 2009.
Word on the delay was that developer Radical, wanted more time to create the world that they had developed for the game. Sierra also made the comment that with the game being pushed back to April 1st, 2009 (irony anyone), the multiplayer modes may be added back into the game.
The delay covers all three versions of the game, so it is not a platform specific issue.

Max Payne 2 came out with lots of fanfare and positive reviews, but just did not have the sales numbers that Rockstar was looking for in the title. Rumors of a third game were quickly scuttled when word of the sales numbers got around, especially considering the marketing dollars that went into promoting the game.
Well a couple of years later and with a movie on the way, it seems that we are finally on track to get another Max Payne game gracing our presence. The king of thick, pulpy narrative and bullet time, will be back for a third installment, coming out on the PS3 and 360 in 2009. The game will most likely be released to coincide with the movie release, but will most likely have a different story.
Sadly, there is no announcement of a PC version, which is a shame considering that the title got its start on that platform. I would take a guess that it will come to the PC after an exclusive period on the consoles to make sure they recoup their money.
