Every weekend, I head to the store, and I look, evaluate and then decide to walk out without a PS3. There are a few games that I really want to play, and the thought of having the best Blu-Ray player out scores a lot of points. And of course, there is the Hasslehoff Pain pack that has my name written all over it.
But with all of that, I still have sticker shock over the $400. And I am not sure why. I paid the same price for my 360, and I spend that in about eight months on my PC, but when it comes to the PS3, I just feel it is too high.
I think part of it comes from me knowing it will be a secondary console in my house, used for more Blu-Ray duty than games. I mean, I was at Circuit City today, and I could of got a PS3 for 10% off, making it $349, but I froze up and walked out.
I also get the price cut worries, like as soon as I buy it, Sony will come to their senses and cut the price. Guess I will continue to try and talk my brain into being impulsive someday.
