   Anyone else pay 500 points for the Wii's Internet Channel...and, get a free NES game from Nintendo to make up for it now that the channel's available at no charge?

   If so, what game did you select to cash in your One Free Title? (You have until 12/31.)

   I went w/ Startropics. I'd never played it, and my wife actually pushed me to select it. No regrets, so far: My blog post on this download and my rationale.

   It'd be great to see how Nintendo would reimagine this series, today

   Anyway, let me know if you downloaded something from the Virtual Console with the Internet Channel to thank.

   Sorry to double post, but, an hour and some worth of gameplay into Startropics, I can state without hesitation that Joe Fourhman would HATE this game.

   It's difficult, at times. And there are platforming puzzles with one solution, trial-and-error stuff.

   Yup.

   He hates it.

   Star Tropics is a great game.

   Anywho, thankfully I downloaded the Internet Channel for free since I got the system at launch. It seemed like Castlevania was a popular pick for the free game among the boards I read.

   Love to play with my Wii.

   Yeah, I got the Internet Channel for free, too. Except for Super Mario Galaxy and Wii Sports, it's probably the most played part of my Wii.

   Actually, it's near the top of my list, too. As much as I play the Wii...when my son was born last year, his crib went into the room w/ the computer. So, if I wanted to use the Internets once he went to sleep...the Wii was the only option.

   Add in surfing around on there on those early nights he REFUSED to sleep, and I continue to think that the Wii appeared just at the exact, perfect time for me, specifically.

   It is a difficult process, so...if you ever get around to figuring out that whole "powering up the Wii" thing, let us know what you download.
