Okay, I figure I might as well clear the air, so I don't have fingers pointed down the road. I am not one of these boycotting fools. I will admit that I will play Modern Warfare 2 at some point. I may even purchase it for PC some day when it comes down to a real price. But at this ponit, I do not want to give Infinity Ward, Activision or any other connected entity, money for this title. I have it in the rental queue and that is good enough for me right now.

Anyone else pay 500 points for the Wii's Internet Channel...and, get a free NES game from Nintendo to make up for it now that the channel's available at no charge?

If so, what game did you select to cash in your One Free Title? (You have until 12/31.)

I went w/ Startropics. I'd never played it, and my wife actually pushed me to select it. No regrets, so far: My blog post on this download and my rationale.

It'd be great to see how Nintendo would reimagine this series, today

Anyway, let me know if you downloaded something from the Virtual Console with the Internet Channel to thank.

Jordan Snyder on "Infinity Ward's Fight Against Grenade Spam"

About a week ago, Robert Bowling linked to a new Infinity Ward video called "Fight Against Grenade Spam PSA"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XxBdcdKVm2U

After the video, which is quite funny, came out, multiple people, such as Lono from Sarcastic Gamer and Philip Kollar began criticizing Infinity Ward for the acronym that the title of the video spells out. Here's a link to Lono's write up on Sarcastic Gamer: http://sarcasticgamer.com/wp/index.php/2009/10/infinity-ward-condones-anti-gay-slur-in-youtube-video.html

You know what I think is stupid? The fact that they are harping on Infinity Ward, when they are the ones who point out the acronym, bugs the shit out of me. Furthermore, they said that that Infinity Ward "condones" the use of homosexual slurs, which is just fucking ridiculous. Watch the video. Do they ever abbreviate the title to show the acronym? No. Do they ever try to bring special attention to it? No. So, stop trying to put Infinity Ward in such a negative light over a coincidence.

If you're going to complain about something in the video, complain about the pot leaf that the player is using as his emblem. /Rant

I think I bought the 1 shot kill upgrade after it was done so I'll play it again on a harder setting next time round :)

So, if you are looking to get a new video card, you may look at a Nvidia product, as they are giving away a free copy of Batman: Arkham Asylum for PC. Very cool deal if you are in the market to upgrade, and a way to promote the DX10 effects that are in the game.

NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope has discovered the biggest but never-before-seen ring around the planet Saturn.

The Jet Propulsion Laboratory said Tuesday that the ring lies at the far reaches of the Saturnian system, and its orbit is tilted 27 degrees from the planet's main ring plane.

(Read the full story of Saturn's Red Ring at MSNBC)

Holy crap - the planet Saturn is powered by an Xbox 360!

RED RING'd!!!!1

Sorry, Microsoft fanboys. Saturn has failed...and you can't blame Sega, this time.

Because I think there are a ton of videos and pictures that are funny, and it will centralize them to one location.

To start it off, why not have our favorite rapper, Vince with the "Slap Chop Rap"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UWRyj5cHIQA

And while most of this is average at best, Katic Couric with Auto-Tune is way funny:

Ok, so I absolutely HATE it when a comic rips off another, and there's no mention of it. It's like a cop out where someone just can't come up w/ anything funny and decided to alter the original idea to make their own and capitalize on it. Case in point: here is today's Ctrl-Alt-Delete comic:

and here is PvP online from Sept 25, or 5 days prior:

This is a topic I am working on for an upcoming podcast, and I would like to get some feedback from the community or any of their friends. Lately, I started to realize how many XBLA games I own, and how little I play all of them. I adore the games when I first purchase them, but as I move down the road by a few weeks, those titles are all but forgotten. How about anyone else here? What are your experiences with these titles, and how long do you normally play them.
