My first thirty was spent downloading then re downloading the game because of some error but i wont hold it against the game so much as to steam. but with out further ado here is my review for Killing Floor.</p> <p>What is it?: killing floor is a game by Tripwire Interactive released in may of 2009</p> <p>The Facts: Killing Floor is a FPS survival horror game, or simply put if Left 4 Dead and shooting fish in a barrel had a kid and call of duty dropped a load of perks in there it would birth Killing floor. Now in theory this sounds like a lot of fun Left 4 Dead with perks but put in practice it simply falls short of what it should be.The game also features 6 player co-op which as i said usually ends with at least in my experience all hoarding in a corner and killing all the zombies until the round is over.</p> <p>The feature "ZEDTime" or (bullet time) will allow players to view kills that they make such as head shotsor other gresume kills in slow moation and for a tempoary ammount of time also re-adjust their aim and get off a few other rounds.this is a very nice feature in later rounds so you can re-aim and re-load.</p> <p>Layout: This game has a very standard keyboard layout and anyone that has played a FPS on the pc that uses "wasd" controlles will feel right at home with this keyset.</p> <p>Audio: The audio on this game is a saving grace for it and and fits very well with the theme of the game usually fast paced metal themed music to keep you racing for more kills. It also sounds very nice on my 5.1 set up so i can not comment on a lower set up.</p> <p>Graphics: Now at the time of purchase a contest had just wraped up for a grindhouse(I.E. Death Proof the movie) style mapmaking contest with the winner getting $10,000 so as you can figure already the servers were flooded with grindhouse themed maps,but for the maps that are not themed as the afor mentioned they look very nice for the genre but nothing spectatular in the way of Crisis mind blowing graphics that will rate pc systems for years to come.</p> <p>Whoring: Yes it has steam achivements so everyone that needs that can get them while they are hot not much to say here except if you are looking for a cheap game for achivements go for it.</p> <p>Conclusion: With all the bashing it would seem as this game is not even worthy of the digital shelf space on your hard drive but for $20 i do feel like i over paid a bit to much you can find it online on sites such as amazon for around $15 and at that price it does seem worthy of a purchase if you are looking for a fish in barrel style FPS game with no real tatics.in closing i will have to give it a 7/10. </p>
