If you play Rock Band 2 a lot, then I say go for it. Plus, by giving away your old game and instruments, you're gaining another person to play it with! It's not such a crazy idea when you realize how much the wireless instruments cost on their own.

Might pull the trigger on this before the end of the week.

The drums are $80 just on their lonesome, along with another $50 for the guitar. No Wireless mic, but support for the Lips mics is suppose to be coming shortly. I guess it is already implemented in The Beatles: Rock Band. I thought about just getting that special edition but $90 vs. $250 does not compute.

How much would it cost to just buy the wireless instruments?

Yes, this will sound stupid, but I am thinking of picking up the special edition box set for Rock Band 2. Yes, I own the game already, but I am thinking about the idea of having the wireless instruments. Having a set of wireless drums and a wireless guitar would be rather awesome. Mix in Lips wireless mic support that should be coming shortly to Rock Band 2 and I could have a wire free music experience.

Right now the cost is $89.99 at Target, and I was thinking of giving my old instruments to a friend along with my copy of Rock Band 2. I can even give him my new manual so he can get the downloadable songs.

Crazy or sane idea?
