I got mine because I was being lazy and just posted the CD album I was listening to the most. Now I can't seem to change the damn thing, otherwise I would.

Three Days Grace though does rock.

^ I noticed, but figured he did too. :p I assumed that it was drawn by the same guy, ZombieXIII, and then Haygood went on to boast about the custom drawing ...

Jeanette has an impressive cleavage.

I would so LOVE to be turned into a superhero. SuperVixx FTW!

Ahh, that would be Jeanette from Vampire: Bloodlines. I am so use to using my other icon, that I forgot I had something different here. Let me see if I can get a larger shot for full effect.

I just softened and added some light to the image, as the original was a bit dark. As for the rest, well that is all Jeanette. The game is six years old and still looks rather good for Gen 1 Source engine graphics.

Easy, mine comes from a friend of mine, ZombieXIII. He is a very talented artist that is known for doing a lot of Halo comic strips. He was the guy that did the Halo Ring of Death comic I posted here a while back.

Anyway, he drew me in the likeness of Longshot. Yeah, I am a Longshot fan. Here is the full drawing, just to get the idea of his talents. He did a series of these for the forum group we had at Gamespot many years ago, where all of us were turned into super heroes.

Mine is of Simon Belmont from the Japanese cover art for Castlevania Chronicles on PlayStation. It's artwork by Ayami Kojima, like most of the Castlevania art from the late 1990s and early 2000s. I think that particular piece is some of her best work.

Wow! Very impressive! I've kept mine relatively under control by preventing myself from buying international games. Many other Cv collectors grab the Japanese games too, but if I did that, why stop there? Where's my German version of Castlevania Bloodlines? And the French one? It would never end. Still, I bend. I've got the soundtracks, and almost none of those ever come out in the US.

While I post most items on the actual blog:

http://www.castlemaniablog.com

I'll toss a small one here. I just lost my third auction for the port of Castlevania for Commodore 64. Breaking one of my collecting rules, I actually bid on a disk and manual only copy of the game, but sadly, it went for more than I'd hoped. My bid of $102.50 was trounced by someone who got it for $105. Who knows what their high bid was.

For some perspective, the previous copies have sold for $250 and $280, those were complete in box with all inserts. Considering that, I expected this one might go as high as $200, but I doubted that. If the high bidder on this hadn't bid, I would have had the game for less than $50, which is where it was before that final bid came in.

IGN's Mark Bozon claims IGN will be sitting down to chat with series mastermind Koji Igarashi at the E3 event this week to talk Castlevania Judgment. In advance of that, IGN sent a list of questions to be translated for the man. Due to some pretty strict limits on what he could say, there's not a whole lot in the interview worth mentioning, save for the confirmation that fighting in the game will not be face-to-face in a SoulCalibur sense, but rather open and free, more like Power Stone.

I've hear of Power Stone, but I haven't played it. The idea here is that instead of being locked to your opponent, you're both roaming free in an area and you beat each other up. The appeal of this to me is that the fights will play out more like a Castlevania boss battle than a traditional fighter might. I'll ignore the wrenching in my gut, because it's entirely from the fact that I'm stuck in Curse of Darkness right now, unable to progress past either of the two bosses I can currently access.

The other interesting thing in the interview is that Iga seems to think it's not generally known that players will be able to unlock Shanoa, protagonist of the upcoming DS game, Order of Ecclesia, by linking those two titles together. I'm not sure why IGN thought it was Maria being unlocked there, in fact. Nintendo Power broke that in the recent reveal of the game. Don't they read Nintendo Power?!

Finally, there is mention that members of the Dewy's Adventure team at Konami are part of the Judgment team. Dewy's Adventure was one of the better looking games on Wii, though admittedly not boundary-shattering like Super Mario Galaxy. This explains a lot of the game's somewhat "glowy" current look to me.

You can get some information about how the game controlled in IGN's hands-on, right here. The game they played was reportedly very early, with lots of pre-alpha type issues. Let's hope they iron all those out for release this fall.

Game imports and region locking is our topic this week, including laying out for our listeners which systems keep you from playing games from other regions and which don't. We also had a winner for the "Select a DS Game for Joe to Play" contest, and that winner was Jeremy Tauzin. The game that garnered the most votes is Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. Rounding out the show is a sprinkling of the big news for this week.
