Monoprice.com is apparently having some issues. During maintenance, they discovered some suspicious files on their server. They're trying to analyze what the files are, and if anything's been compromised, but in the interim they've stopped taking any orders. The text of this said they'd still take orders using Paypal, but when you go to the shopping cart there's just a message saying they won't take any orders at all. I need to get an optical cable to use with my new receiver, but I don't want to spend a ton of money on it to get one at Best Buy, so I guess I'll just use RCA jacks until Monoprice comes back online.

I've been doing a bit better with the game now. I just worked my way through the tower on some other planet and then talked to the guy who runs the colony. They're under siege by geth, apparently. I think my next step is to bring the fight to the geth.

PaRappa the Rappa! I still find some of those songs stuck in my head on occasion.

The Magellan GPS I have has an awkward way of directing users through roundabouts. It will say, for example, "Take the first exit at the roundabout onto route 7." However, due to the fact that the sentence is being pulled together from bits and pieces, as opposed to text-to-speech like street names, it comes up with "Take... the first... exit at the roundabout... onto... route 7." The rhythm is almost exactly the one from the driving test in Parappa. "Check... and turn... now signal to the right." Every time we go through a roundabout, my wife and I have to resist saying, "Do you know why we stopped the car?" Often we don't resist very well.

I would be fine with a game about any of the Doctors as long as they skip Colin Baker and the guy that was after him, Sebastian something. Those seemed to be a bit darker at times, but with no real depth of character. Kind of like they were making Dr. Who just for the sake of making it. You know, due to it being a TV staple.

I can't wait for a decent Who game, though; there's so many great storylines to enhance, and great creatures to populate the Who universe. I'm amazed it hasn't happened before to be honesty.

But Gann? Really? No way. Tennant all the way, baby ...

Yeah, Season six has been all over the place. Just give me the episode where Kate dies and I will be happy with Season Six. Make sure Crazy Claire is the one that kills her.

Right now, Richard is the only reason I keep watching, because I want his backstory. Also, he would have no sideways flash, because he would have technically been dead at this point in time.

Did anyone else notice that the island obviously existed at some point, because Richard actually mentioned this fact in a discussion with Ben. He said their life would have been better if they stayed on the island, however, the island is underwater. Hmmm, what is all this coming to now in the sideways universe.

Hey, I was down with the Lost game, although it made far more sense after watching the show.

As for a Doctor Who game, I would love to see a cool graphic adventure game maybe allowing people to play as several different Time Lords as you work through the game. Have the storyline connected somehow, similar to the Time Crash special they did a few years ago.

Who wants to play as Paul Gann? I mean he was one of the longest running Dcotors in the fiction, figuring he was in the one shot in 1996, and then assumedly was the Doctor until shortly before the events in the relaunch. If you remember, Eccleston looked in the mirror at his appearance and seemed to make note that he had recently regenerated.

I just realized that was probably way too geeky.

A year or two ago, I wrote up an article about a Dr. Who game that was suppose to come out. They were looking to make it more casual focused, which turned me off immediately. I wonder if this is that title, or if that one never got off the ground.

I wish I could import it, because I would so do that. I wonder if Vikki or Adam want to pursue this from a PR standpoint.

Well this topic is geared mainly torward Haygood because....a docter who game is coming out for the wii! The only downside is it's most likely not coming in the states so you'l have to import and hack your wii.

I know we talked about it on last week's podcast, but I wanted to point out that we will be doing a full fledged spoiler podcast this week, covering Heavy Rain. If you have any points, questions, thoughts or what not for Heavy Rain, post them here, and we will get to them on the show.

I think it should be an interesting podcast, and as announced, it will have Vikki on it, which always seems to help our numbers. Something about adding a British female voice to a podcast that makes it sound so much more sophisticated. Unless it is nominating Resident Evil 5 for best RPG. Not sure what that was all about!

I did like that Ben did not sell his "daughter" out for the principal job. That said, you could see the seeds of maliciousness in his initial actions, albeit, for the greater good. This was a rather solid episode, and they finally came back to Richard. He thinks the same thing I do, that Jacob is not a nice man.

I want Richard's flashback to the slave ship and how he was chosen for his "gift".

As for my next game, I think I will work on finishing Tomb Raider: Underworld. I was about halfway through that game, so it should be fun to pick it back up after a year away from it.

Finished Prototype after two days spent beating the final boss. Loved that game until the last handful of missions where the difficulty shot up like a cliff face. You never want to play a game in frustration, and I think that is where I was at the end of the game. I was not happy to see it end for the conclusion, but happy I was not going to be playing it anymore. That is a fail Radical Entertainment.

I thought it was the best episode yet. When Ben was talking about Napoleon I thought it might actually have to do with the island. I don't remember exactly what it was though. I'm going to watch that part again.

Funny you should mention KOTOR. I just got that a couple of days ago (yesterday?) from Goozex and I'm shocked at how primitive the whole thing is compared to Mass Effect. I actually found Jade Empire a little better, but less engaging in my test.

Let's see... what hasn't aged well? The first Dragon Warrior on NES, but not as much as the first Final Fantasy on NES. The first Diablo. Warcraft 3, too, in the sense that the art style did not quite meet well with the tech at the time it came out, and as a result it looks pretty rough today. It's not even that old.
