Do You Have the Goods to Be Bayonetta

    By Joe Haygood | September 3, 2009

bayonettaboothbabeContinuing the Bayonetta theme that is running around on the Interwebs today, we got word earlier today of another content, on top of the Bayonetta art contest over at WizardWorks.com.  Apparently, Maxim magazine is also getting into the Bayonetta groove by sponsoring a contest that is looking for women that look like Bayonetta.

Knowing that Bayonetta has a style, look and flavor all of her own, the good folks at Maxim feel that there have to be a lot of women out there in the real world that can convey these character traits.  To enter the contest, one only has to submit a photo of themselves doing their best improvisation of Bayonetta.  The pictures do have to be at least 500K in size, and in the form of a JPG graphic file.  More details and contest rules can be found on the offical contest page.  The grand prize winner will win a Microsoft Xbox 360, 50″ Panasonic Plasma TV and a copy of Bayonetta when it comes out.

So do you think you have what it takes to be Bayonetta?  Make sure to send all pictures to tips@aeropause.com first for a “special” analysis before sending them to Sega.  Okay, so we are half-joking.

Get Good Old Games With This Good Old Contest

    By Joe Haygood | May 19, 2009

    goodoldgamesintro

Our friends over at Good Old Games have been feeling the love for us over at Aeropause.com and decided that they needed to giveaway a few games to those that just have not bought into the love that is Good Old Games.  Actually, they just want to give games away, so here is the deal.  Over the next six weeks, we are going to be giving 10 games away from Good Old Games.  The codes are good for any game in their inventory, up to $9.99.  Sales Tax will still apply in certain instances.

To enter the first giveaway, go to this forum thread and name the best game in the Good Old Games catalog and why it is so great.  Two winners will be randomly drawn from the entries.  If you have not registered for the forums, it is simple to do.  Just follow the link, enter the info, and you are In Like Flynn.  The first drawing ends May 31st @ midnight Pacific time.  From that point, there will be a new drawing each week, that you can enter.

Microsoft, Deadliest Catch Team Up To Giveaway Loonie Bucks

    By Joe Haygood | April 13, 2009

    deadliestpoints

The fine folks over at Microsoft have decided that catching crabs is the best thing that can happen to us, as they have teamed up with The Discovery Channel to launch a cross media/cross brand advertising push to promote the latest season of Deadliest Catch.  Beyond the front page branding of MSN and MSN Mobile, Xbox Live Gold Members can enter to win 40o Microsoft Loonies (closest currency conversion I could find today), by texting a simple code at the end of the Deadliest Catch commercial currently on the front page of Xbox Live.

Microsoft and The Discovery Channel are giving away a total of 2 million points, so you have a good shot at winning, and I seriously need more people to play Space Giraffe.  Check out the official page for rules and regulations, as well as a chance to win without sending an SMS Text.  Good luck.

Oh and one more thing.  Thankfully, this contest does not mean that another Deadliest catch game is coming to the Xbox 360.  Owners everywhere are safe from the possibility of playing another licensed game.

Gonna Make You Readers An Offer You Can’t Refuse EXTENDED

    By Joe Haygood | March 31, 2009

aerofather360editionFirst off, there cannot be a more scary, or deadly crime family on the planet than the motley crew to the left.  Haygood, Stephen and Koss mowing down rival families left and right, taking no prisoners, and seeking the lamendation of the rival gangsters women.  Okay so maybe we aren’t tough enough to fight our way out of a paper bag with holes on both ends, but we do know how to offer you readers great prizes.

So here is what you have to do.  You have to give our Aeropause family a cool sounding mafioso family name.  Also, give each of the Aeropodcast posse a great sounding mafia name (don’t forget Fourhman even though he is not on the box).  If you need inspiration, play the first Godfather game, or maybe watch some good gangster films like Godfather I or II, Goodfellas or Married to the Mob.  Well, maybe scratch that last choice.  Anyway, take your entry and post it into this forum thread.  If you are not a member of the forums, go ahead and register.  It is fast, painless and free, which is a great word to hear in today’s economic climate.  Follow this link to join the forums, and get in on your chance to play as one of the Family in The Godfather II.

Hurry as the contest ends April 10, 2009 at noon.  Also, due to region coding, the game is in NTSC format, so the contest is only good in those regions.
