The Battlefield Bad Company 2 demo will soon become the fastest downloaded demo in history according to EA. The demo continues to dominate PSN and Xbox Live with over 2 million downloads across the two networks in the first five days of availability. Additionally the recently launched PC beta has also met great success, with hundreds of thousands of players already signed up.

That’s good news for EA, maybe it will steal some light from Modern Warfare 2 until it comes out with its first downloadable content.

Indy developer Eurocenter, which has developed several online games for the iPhone and iPod touch has released Adrenaline Golf Online, with full support for the advanced iPhone 3GS graphic extensions like the OpenGL shader effects. Eurocenter is the first to utilize the new technology on the 3Gs (finally!) and has done so with a game that mixes mini golf with pool. This is not to say they didn’t have issues working with OpenGL – they had to completely rewrite the engine from the ground up to work on the 3GS, and have two different 3D engines to work on the older models.

The best feature in this new title is the online multiplayer feature where you can collect stars and send bonuses to other players much like in Mario Kart. Additionally players can compete in 72 completely different courses.

The water, shadows and other shader effects look pretty cool from the video but I can’t wait to see other developers do something a bit more compelling than Golf, not to be dissin’ Golf or Eurocenter’s effort put forth in Adrenaline.

If there was one thing you could add, subtract, modify about any game, which game would it be and why? More than one answer is good to, but you can only change one thing about that game.

One of my all time favorites is ICO on the PS2. The only issue I have with it is that it was too short.

What would you change?

We want to give this rare opportunity to a enthusiastic game journalist who lives in the San Francisco area to attend the “Pure Multiplayer Event and Sneak Preview” in San Francisco – which is coming out on the Xbox 360, PC and PS3.

The event is hosted by Disney Interactive Studios and they will unveil the multiplayer aspects, new features and tracks for the game which will all take place in a cool set decorated like the game itself. You will have the opportunity to try the game hands-on while you’re spoon-fed free food and drinks by hovering pixies with translucent wings, plus receive an early review build of the game in mid-September for review on none other than Aeropause.
