Lets see, I have been a PC Gamer for most of my gaming life, but I started out on an Atari 2600, or my Sears branded VCS2600. From there, my dad bought me a PC, along with Starflight and Wizardry and it was amazing. Since then, I have probably bought enough PC components and games to equal the GNP of a small country like Tonga. Recently, I have integrated the 360 into my normal play schedule, mostly due to computer outages while I was short of cash to put together an upgrade, but I now have Quad Core, hear me roar. FYI, my SteamID is mclazyj, My Xfire username is mclazyj

    Games I'm currently playing:

Lost Planet: Colonies Edition (PC), Shadowrun (PC), Bully: Scholarship Edition (360), Rock Band (360), The Witcher (PC), Beyond Good and Evil (PC), Conflict: Denied Ops (PC via Gametap)

    Consoles Owned:

Gaming PC - Q6600 2.4 GHz Intel Quad Core, 2GB of Kingston HyperX Memory, Geforce 8800GT 512MB RAM, Gigabyte P35-DS3L Motherboard, Onboard sound and a Klipsch 5.1 Surround sound speakers. Xbox 360, Xbox and PS2 round out my consoles.

    Stats: and

While most retailers were releasing some dismal numbers for the holiday season, Gamestop seemed to defy the fiscal gloom posting some rather impressive numbers for their fourth quarter of sales.
Gamestop showed a 10.2% increase in same-store sales for shops that have been opened for at least one year, during the shopping period of November 2 [...]

After a delay of a few months, the wraps come off of the PC version of Saints Row 2.  This is the first time that a game in the Saints Row franchise has come to the PC platform, and the game is available on both Steam and Direct2Drive for $39.95.  It is also available at [...]

50 Cent Blood In The Sand Cover System Trailer

    By Joe Haygood
    Posted in PS3, XBOX 360 on 7 January 2009
    Stats: and

The premise of the new 50 Cent game is absolutely ridiculous, and the action is sure to be over the top, but it will sell a million plus, just like 50 Cent: Bulletproof.  All that said, I will admit that the game is starting to shape up nicely, and it is looking pretty nice.  Not [...]

The guys and gals at paidcontent.org ran a story this morning that the print magazine, EGM, and other properties of 1up have been sold to Hearst Media.  With this acquisition, the rumor is that Electronic Games Monthly will cease circulation with this merger.  Shortly after the story went live, paidcontent.org, pulled the story from the [...]

    FCC To The DRM Rescue

    By Joe Haygood
Posted in Industry, PC on 6 January 2009

While DRM has been around for several years in the PC world, it was not until Spore that the DRM arguement came to a head in popular culture.  Spore was a mainstream title that exposed the good and bad of DRM, and the arguements for and against having it in your game.
    The FCC has kind [...]

As will be mentioned in the podcast that will be posted sometime in the next 12-24 hours, I have finally put together another video using the Grand Theft Auto IV video editor.  While it is not my best work, I had a funny moment happen in the game that I decided to put to good [...]

After sitting in the shadow of Sony and its Singstar franchise, Microsoft has finally brought their own karaoke to market in the form of Lips.  While Lips provides a fun filled party atmosphere, and a savvy platform for future content, the single player will find themselves grasping for more to do with their $70 purchase.

When Activision picked up the Bond franchise last year, a collective groan could be heard around the world, as everyone felt that Bond would be used as a commodity.  Treyarch however, decided to take the Call of Duty engine which garnered high praise from the community for its great looks, and kick it up a [...]

At the beginning of 2008 I made a few predictions for the coming year.  Some were crazy, some were serious, and some just made people scratch their heads.  So how did I do when I look back at my predictions?  I would give myself a big fat F, because I missed on quite a bit.  [...]
