Blizzard goin’ MMO

More rumours from the mill! Not sure what to think, here, but according to a Wall Street presentation given by Vivendi Universal, all of the chart-busting Blizzard franchises will becoming MMO in the future. Shacknews contacted Blizzard to find out more, but no one there seemed to know what was going on about it, but the presentation stated that they will be making a new game in 3 years. Perhaps soon the day of a real zergling rush can be realized not just as an Alterac Valley recreation involving naked gnomes. *shudder*
UPDATE: According to Worthplaying, Blizzard has announced that the Vivendi announcement was incorrect, or rather, as is said in this WoW forum post, a misquote. Looks like it might be a “NO” on the World of Starcraft. Shucks.

I think a Diablo MMO is a lot more likely than a Starcraft MMO, as there have already been rumblings about “something big” concerning Diablo. Who knows, though?
I do so tire of MMORPG’s, however. It would be nice to see some quality single-player story out of Blizzard… you know, what they USED TO be known for?
