Le Tour de France Coming to PS3 and Xbox 360 in Europe
Who here goes nuts when they hear that it is almost time for Le Tour de France to start? I mean, it is the most prestigious cycling event in the world, maybe outside of the Olympics, and it always seems to bring us some of the best scandals in the world, with blood doping, fake urine devices and a guy named Lance Armstrong. But now it is coming to an officially licensed cycling game on Xbox 36o and PS3 as well in July 2011.
Le Tour de France: The Official Game is being put together by Cyanide Studios, the team responsible for the very good Pro Cycling Manager games of the last few years. The goal is to recreate the entire 21 stage, 3200Km (2000 Mile) race. From the early screens, it does look pretty, but unless they mix in some steroid and doping allegations, I am not sure the US audience will jump on board. Guess that is why this is a European only release.
