Kirk and Spock Team Up For New Star Trek Game in 2012
Paramount Digital has taken the wrapper off of their newest game announcement, and it is Star Trek, coming to PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 in 2012. This new Star Trek game will be a follow up to the relaunched Star Trek movie franchise from J.J. Abrams from 2009.
Star Trek is being designed from the ground up as a co-op experience that will feature the two iconic heroes of the franchise, Kirk and Spock as they work together to battle a legendary menace that is trying to take over the galaxy. Man, what is it with aliens that want to conquer the universe. Its a big place, isn’t there space enough for everyone?
Looking at the characters, it seems that the are using the likeness of Chris Pine and Zachary Quintano, but no word on whether they will be doing the voice over work. The script is being penned by God of War writer, Marianne Krawczyk in collaboration with the writers/producers of the 2009 Star Trek movie, Bob Orci and Alex Kurtzman. Digital Extremes is tasked with developing this new franchise.
Look for more on this title after our E3 appointment with Paramount Digital next week at E3.
