ARMA 3 Announced
The people that play ARMA are a hardcore bunch of guys. Not in the CounterStrike way, which leaves you wallowing in a pile of tears hardcore, but in the fact that these guys are deep for all the intricacies of the game and the tools that are available to them. ARMA II has gained a huge cult following with the hardcore military sim enthusiasts, creating tons of scenarios, hosting servers and so much more.
These fans are probably sitting in a pile of their own seed this morning as Bohemia Interactive has announced ARMA III is in development and set for a June 2012 release. ARMA III will serve up a lengthy, dynamicly unfolding campaign that will have the NATO forces with their heels on the Atlantic Ocean as the Eastern European armies have pushed the offensive.
It looks as if ARMA III will sport a new graphics engine, single player campaign, fully customizable soldier kits and much more. I have yet to get into ARMA II, even though I bought it in the Steam annual After-Christmas sale, so I guess I need to figure this thing out before part III hits.
