Prey 2 Gets More Screens, Loses Original Identity
Bethesda and Human Head Studios have put out some new screens for Prey 2, and they look really good, and they show off a universe that will probably be a lot of fun to explore as a player. However, I still am trying to figure out why this game is called Prey 2, as it seems to be dispatching everything that represented the first Prey title.
I mean, we do have a threadbare link to the first Prey title with our protagonist being captured aboard the sphere in the first Prey, but after that, it becomes a space-faring, shooter, with little to no ties to the original. I am not hating on this game, as I think it looks great, and the universe could be interesting, but it has no relevance to Prey in any way, shape or form. I want to play Prey 2, but at this point, I look at this title and I just think to myself that it is “the franchise formerly known as Prey”, rather than Prey 2.
Check the new screens after the jump. Prey 2 is set for release on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 in 2012 from Human Head Studios and Bethesda Softworks.
