Make Your Own Challenges in Hunted: The Demon’s Forge
Until this morning, I was completely unaware of the fact that Hunted: The Demon’s Forge would have a challenge and level editor included in the package. Called “Crucible”, this editor is complete with all kinds of tools that will allow anyone from amateur levels to complex designers to create all sorts of new challenges for their characters.
Interestingly however, Crucible’s tools are unlocked as you accumulate more gold in the main campaign of Hunted. More gold earned allows you to unlock more tools, monsters and more to add to your levels. This is a bit of a strange mechanic, as it will require everyone to at least finish the main campaign to get the most out of the level creator, instead of just hitting it on day one.
Crucible will allow players to upload their own creations to a main server, and you will be able to download other player’s levels as well.
Check below to see the Crucible tool in action. Hunted: Demon’s Forge is set for release in May 2011 on Xbox 360 and PS3.
