Hulu Plus Finally Makes Its Debut on the Xbox 360 Tomorrow
For those that have been missing out on their Hulu Plus via the PS3 and you own an Xbox 360, April 29th, 2011 is a date to circle on your calendar. Yes, starting tomorrow, the long promised Hulu Plus update will hit the Xbox 360 and allow Hulu Plus owners to watch Hulu programs on their Xbox 360.
Hulu Plus has been a godsend for my family, and has been the main reason behind me cutting cable TV in my house. $7.99 a month and I can get most of the television shows I watch streamed to my TV via my console. It has turned into a great deal and has allowed me to save about $100 a month in cable costs. Sure, it is not perfect. There are a few shows I still miss out on, and I cannot understand why some content is restricted to the website only, but it continues to get better and add more shows on a weekly basis.
Better still is that the Hulu Plus app is getting Kinect support. No, not the half-assed Kinect support that is found in Netflix, but full navigation for Hulu Plus via the Kinect device. I will believe it when I try it out tomorrow, but I can’t imagine it having a poorer showing that the Netflix Kinect application.
Also, everyone will get access for free the first week Hulu Plus is available via a sponsorship deal with Jack’s Links, but it will be for Gold Subscribers only after that point.
