Tiny Diggers – An iPad Construction Truck Game for Kids Age 2-5

Okay, for some strange reason, people actually want more of the Transformers movies after 2009′s abomination of a film, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.  I cannot figure out why people want it, and I cannot concieve why Michael Bay would unleash another atrocity upon mankind, but he is going to, and most likely, people are going to go watch it.  Of course, this means that license holder Activision is going to make a game that is based on this premise.

Now, to be fair, War for Cybertron was a good attempt at a quality Transformers title.  It explored a lot of the background of most of the main characters, and it lead in nicely to the Gen. 1 cartoon that most of us get a warm feeling about when we think of it.  Sure it was a bit repetitive, but it was good.  Dark of the Moon looks to take some of that flavor by setting itself up as a prequel to the film, adding Shockwave as a villian, and mixing in “Stealth Force” combat mechanics, which is a hybrid mode between vehicle and robot form.    Sounds okay, but nothing to write home about…unless the concept sounds familiar to you.  Yeah, it sounded a bit familiar to me as well.  For those that might want to reminisce, take a look at the jump.

Maybe I am just being a cynic, but it sounds a lot like Guardian mode on a Valkyrie VF-101 fighter from Robotech.  Just thowing that out there.  Transformers Dark of the Moon is set to arrive near the film’s launch date, and will come to just about every platform imaginable.
