Gearbox Software is pulling out all the stops to prove that Duke Nukem Forever is still real and that it is set to release on May 3rd, 2011. To that effect, it was announced that a special edition of Duke Nukem Forever would be available to pre-order at Amazon and GameStop. Priced at $99.99, the Duke Nukem Forever: Balls of Steel edition will come with a ton of extra stuff that fans of Duke are sure to enjoy. For your C-note, you get the following items:

Okay, I will admit that the bust was a enough for me to go out and pre-order the game, but I wonder if this will entice others to do the same. I am an unabashed fan of the Duke Nukem series, and I have followed the frankenstein-like development of this series, so I really do want to see what was salvaged from the old designs and what Gearbox has managed to do with this game. Oh, and for good effect, Gearbox and 2K Games need to delay the game by one day a week before release. It only seems par for the course and would be a funny as hell joke for a cap on this historic development cycle.
