Dead Island Trailer Brings Sadness, Frantic Action
Roberto was the first one to show me this new trailer yesterday, and even today, I am completely in awe of the new Dead Island announcement trailer. It pulls no punches with its subject matter, and leaves you feeling very cold at the end when you see the final montage of a happy family.
For those that might not be aware, Techland has been working on Dead Island for some time. The first information on the title surfaced back in 2007, and after some initial news, the title went completely dark. I figured it to be cancelled as Techland went on to work on Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood, nail’d and now a new Call of Juarez title. But in development, Dead Island has been, and the first look might leave you a little sad and who knows, maybe a little weepy.
Check the jump for the full trailer. And if you want more, IGN has the full expose on this title over at their site. Dead Island is set to arrive this year on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 from Techland and Deep Silver.
