DCUO offers $10/month plan next week
Here’s another bit of bait for people on the fence about DC Universe Online. Today the PlayStation Blog announced a special promo rate of $29.99 for three months. Normally, the three month pack sells for $41.99.
But unlike all those awful Comcast promotions, the rate can be locked in FOREVER. If you take advantage of the “Legend Plan” pricing of $29.99, you can keep that rate going as long as your account is alive. That’s a better deal than any of the other bundled access plans.
I’ll tell ya: I say the game is a ton of fun. It would have been nicer if Sony had fielded the game at $40+one month, or $60+two months, sure. But I made it to level 30 and unlocked a passel of high-level content I have yet to explore… plus there’s new stuff on the way, on what Sony implied would be a monthly schedule. I feel like it’s worth the Legend price, at least. With this Legend Plan, $60+$30 gives you four months of access to a great game. You pay more on your cable bill and all you ever do is watch Netflix.
The Legend Plan becomes available February 8. The Blog did not mention when the Legend Plan option would vanish.
