Square-Enix let the word be known that they are releasing the Tomb Raider Trilogy pack for the PS3 in March of 2011.  The Tomb Raider Trilogy will include Tomb Raider: Legend and Tomb Raider: Anniversary, two titles that did not release on the PS3, as well as the more recent Tomb Raider: Underworld.

Both Legend and Anniversary will ship with remastered HD graphics to match the visual standards that gamers have come to expect from this generation of hardware.  Also included with the package will be a load of documentaries for each title as well as some other special touches.

For the $40 asking price, I would probably recomend this package to fans of the Tomb Raider series.  Legend brought the franchise back from a dark place and was a refreshing change of pace, while Anniversary lets gamers relive a lot of the first Tomb Raider title with top notch visuals.  Underworld is also a great game, as long as you can deal with some of the contol issues that came up near the end of the game.

Look for Tomb Raider Trilogy on March 22nd, 2011 from Square-Enix on PS3 exclusively.

LOS ANGELES (January 6, 2011) – Crystal Dynamics® today announced that THE TOMB RAIDER® TRILOGY pack, exclusive for the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system, will be available for $39.99 on March 22, 2011.

The pack will include TOMB RAIDER Legend and TOMB RAIDER Anniversary, both newly remastered in HD quality, as well as TOMB RAIDER Underworld, previously released on PlayStation 3. A number of items were also created exclusively for this pack, including a THE TOMB RAIDER TRILOGY PlayStation 3 theme pack, the official Lara Croft female Home avatar outfit, the Viking Thrall male Home avatar outfit and a collection of “making of” trailers in HD for the entire series, a must for any TOMB RAIDER fan.
