Are you freaking kidding me? Nintendo is still paying attention to Animal Crossing: City Folk? They are the most mysterious company on the planet.

Not that there’s any possible way you could have heard about this other than visiting hardcore Animal Crossing forums, but Nintendo is sending out free DLC from a wholly new furniture series: the Golden Series. First up is the Golden Bed, available during the month of January. Given that the furniture series contains twelve items and there’s twelve months in a year… I think we’ve cracked this case wide open, Batman.

As usual, you just have to have your WiiConnect24 or whatever turned on and then Pete the Pelican automatically delivers the item to you in-game upon boot-up. You’ve probably forgotten all about that since the last time you played City Folk was in 2008.
