Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Gets Special Treatment for 3DS
Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor hit the Nintendo DS back in 2009, and while not a huge commercial success, became a cult favorite for fans of the SMT franchise. It featured a deep narrative about the government trying to deal with a full scale demon invasion of Tokyo, and the team of specialists sent in to investigate the phenomenon. Fast forward to 2011, and Devil Survivor is getting a special “Overclocked” edition of Devil Survivor for the 3DS.
The new Devil Survivor Overclocked release looks to take advantage of the new hardware platform, not by adding 3D (at least nothing is said in the press release), but in the form of full spoken dialog for all the characters in the game, as well as a new 8th chapter that looks to end the game with a satisfying epilogue for fans of the series.
Hit the jump for some screens and proposed boxart for Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked. SMT: Devil Survivor will hit the Nintendo 3DS sometime in the Summer of 2011 from Atlus USA.
