Rock Band 3 Weekly Update: January 7th, 2011 Edition
This week in Rock Band land, we are getting a new six pack track for the band Linkin Park. Some will be happy and some will cringe at this fact, but the fact still stands that the band has a sizable fanbase and that the tracks in the pack are some of their better tunes. Included in the pack are tracks like “In the End” and “What I’ve Done” along with for other big hits. Those two tracks can also be upgraded with Pro Guitar note charts for $0.99 each.
The tracks can be purchase in a bundle for $9.99 on PS3, 800 Microsoft Loonies or 1000 Wii Points, or you can buy them individually for $1.99 on PS3, 160 Microsoft Loonies or 200 Wii Points.

SIX PACK OF FAN FAVORITES FROM LINKIN PARK HEAD TO ROCK BAND NEXT WEEK!
Cambridge, Mass. – Jan. 7, 2011– Harmonix today announced that Linkin Park will bring a six pack of songs to Rock Band, available beginning Jan. 11 in the Rock Band 3 Music Store of downloadable content for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and Wii™.
Rock Band provides the deepest and best selection of artists, songs and albums through the Rock Band music platform, which features more than 800 artists and more than 2,000* tracks via disc and download purchase (complete list of tracks at www.rockband.com/songs). Rock Band’s gigantic music library dwarfs that of any other rhythm video game on the market. To date, more than 75 million songs have been sold through the Rock Band Music Store since its launch Nov. 20, 2007.
Rock Band DLC Additions for Xbox 360, PlayStation®3 system and Wii
American rockers Linkin Park will drop some much-anticipated songs in the Rock Band 3 Music Store next week. The band, formed in 1996 in California, has sold more than 50 million albums worldwide and holds two Grammy® Awards. Linkin Park is touring the United States beginning Jan. 20. Linkin Park Pack 01 features “Crawling” and “In the End” from their 2000 debut album, Hybrid Theory, which was certified Diamond in 2005. From the band’s second album, Meteora, the pack features “Somewhere I Belong” and “Numb,” the biggest song of the year in 2003 on the Modern Rock charts. The pack also features “What I’ve Done” from their third album, Minutes to Midnight, which topped the Billboard charts when it was released in 2007. And from their latest album, A Thousand Suns, which was released in September 2010, the pack features “Waiting for the End.”
As always, songs available as downloadable content for Rock Band 3 feature five-button guitar and bass parts, drums, Pro Drums, and keys, Pro Keys and harmonies, where applicable. Some songs also feature Pro Guitar and Pro Bass upgrades available for an additional $0.99 upgrade download.

Downloadable content for Wii is purchased via the in-game Rock Band Music Storeusing Wii Points™ purchased through the Wii™ Shop Channel and can be downloaded to the system memory or to an SD card for additional storage. The tracks stream directly from the SD card for seamless play.
The Rock Band Music Store allows players to preview and purchase downloadable individual music tracks and packs from the vast selection of offerings available to date without ever leaving the game as they build their own custom Rock Band library.
