If you’ve been wondering what was next to justify LEGO Universe‘s monthly fee, try this on size: Ninjago. Brand new to your local toy aisle, Ninjago is LEGO’s gestalt building/battling line. It comes in regular themed LEGO building sets, but also in action figure-esque packs centered around the ninja minifigures. The gimmick is that the ninjas (and their enemies) come with bases that spin like a top, allowing for combat mayhem along the lines of Beyblade.

In LEGO Universe, Ninjago will manifest in the form of Crux Prime, which is being touted as the largest world yet inside the game.

“In Crux Prime, players must seek out Sensei Wu among the ruins of the Ninjago Monastery to learn the secrets to the powerful skill of Spinjitzu. Nefarious Maelstrom Skeletons are attempting to steal the beam of Imagination protected within Crux Prime’s Nexus Tower, and only by spinning in a tornado of pure Imagination can players defeat these bony villains.”

The new content is expected to launch in a few weeks.
