Last night I enjoyed ten straight hours of downloading and installing the DC Universe Online beta to my PS3. So tonight maybe I can spend ten straight hours of playing it. Several weeks ago, future Justice League member Joe Haygood posted his positive preview of the game on PC… and now we have a solid release date for the game on both platforms. January 11, 2011. Here’s the pricing plan:

DC Universe Online will carry an anticipated retail price of US$59.99 for PlayStation 3 and US$49.99 for PC in North America. The game includes one 30-day game membership, with monthly subscriptions available thereafter for US$14.99. For customers playing the PC version of the game, DCUO will be included in SOE’s all-in-one Station Access subscription.

DC legend Jim Lee mentioned on his Twitter that a lifetime subscription option will be available, but that is not specifically mentioned in the press release below.
