NBA Jam for PS3 and Xbox 360 Hits Retail Shelves Today

Submitted by on November 17, 2010 – 11:52 amOne Comment

After a strange wayward journey that included being bundled with a now-cancelled title, NBA Jam is finally dropping on to Xbox 360 and PS3 consoles across the land.  Featuring all the modes that are in the Wii version of the title, this new release also has online play out of the box.  A title update has been announced by Electronic Arts that will ad online co-op play and other enhancements to the title.

Just as a side rant, but I wonder how many people are upset that they picked up the Wii version because they were told that the main campaign from the game would not be available in the prior download only version for Xbox 360 and PS3 and now the full game is there to be had for only another $50.  I guess it is cheaper than buying one of those $600 NBA Elite 11 discs on eBay and getting the DLC code inside the game.

Take a look at the full press release after the jump.

I'm still confused about the Wii version's lack of online modes. When developers try, online for the Wii is more than competent and will it's not laid out like Live and PSN it's not broken by any means…well except for Brawl
