Helen Mirren Compares WiiFit Plus to Having a New Lover Every Day
It seems that when Nintendo UK was looking to boost sales for WiiFit Plus in the United Kingdom, it had one particular spokesperson in mind: Helen Mirren. Most might not understand why this is such a big deal, but for those not in the know, Helen Mirren is one of the best actresses of this generation, playing in all sorts of critically acclaimed roles. From The Queen to Calender Girls to The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and Her Lover, she has been great when she is on the screen. Well, Nintendo got their woman, and it seems that it cost a small fortune, with the rumored price tag hovering around $800,000 for two days worth of shooting.
The other reason I bring this to people’s attention, is that it was funny that Nintendo wanted Helen Mirren to star in these ads, as she is the most fit and attractive 65 year old woman I have ever seen. It also helps that she is the only person that I have ever heard compare WiiFit Plus to having a new sexual lover every day. Not sure how that plays into Nintendo’s family image.
