EVE Online Incursion Is About Payback
Recently CCP posted that they were going to be breaking their Incursion expansion up into three parts over the next three months. The chat channels in-game have been buzzing with people complaining about the several patches for the current expansion Tyrannis and CCP even went on the record to say that this past expansion was a profile in how not to do things, but I’ve been happy that they’ve been patching and fixing things as we go along, not holding these things back. As a person who has made software in the past, I appreciate an aggressive approach to fixes.
The first part of Incursion will arrive on November 30th, the second will shake the skill point system up a bit on December 14th, with the actual Sansha Incursions the expansion’s title is named for to hit in January 2011. The trailer, visible after the jump below, is narrated by an enemy commander who still seems really unhappy about something that was done to him at some point.
The big thing about the Incursions is that they’ll be NPC attacks happening in seemingly random areas of high security space as well as low security space. It’s going to get crazy for the vast majority of players at least in the Amarrian empire, which is where these guys are supposed to attack and which, unfortunately, is where I spend much of my time in-game.
For the pretty trailer, hit the jump.
