Lara Croft Online Co-op, Free DLC Inbound
So, does anyone here remember Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light? You know, that Lara Croft game that came out during the Summer of Arcade way back before the weather and seasons started to change. Yeah, that Lara Croft game. Well, if you have been hanging on the edge of your seat for online co-op play, you are now in luck as the online co-op patch is out – if you own the Xbox 360 version that is. Yes, right now, the online co-op patch is out but only for Xbox 360 owners. Not sure if it was easier to get certified for Xbox 360, or if it is a timed exclusive patch, but if you are looking for some online co-op fun on Xbox 360 in Lara Croft, October 27th is an important date for you. The PS3 and PC versions are set to receive the online co-op functionality, “will be coming soon”.
Added as a bonus for the long wait for the co-op patch, the first DLC pack for Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light will be free for Xbox 360 owners. Again, no mention of whether it will be free for any of the other systems, but if you own the Xbox 360 version of the game, you are getting some free DLC in the near future.
Again, I have to ask the question – is anyone still playing this game? Not that it was bad, but it seems that a lot of gamers have already moved on and have no real reason to come back to it. Still not sure why Square and Crystal Dynamics waited so long for this patch, but it seems like the demand for it has wained over time from its initial release.
