I think this is the first game I’ve seen make a go at turning 1-11-11 into a marketing thing.

Capcom’s Ghost Trick hits retail January 11 of next year. The DS game features a man who must solve the mystery of his own death by possessing items in the environment.

In GHOST TRICK: Phantom Detective, players will be transported into the spirit world of Sissel, a murder victim who upon returning as a ghost, has lost his memory and must solve the mystery of his suspicious demise. Sissel has the unique ability to possess inanimate objects from the real world and skillfully manipulate them in order to influence events.

Capcom also revealed the official DS box art, which might be the first DS game to spotlight an openly dead guy since Capcom’s own Resident Evil: Deadly Silence. And even then, that was just a stupid zombie.
