Fallout New Vegas Behind the Scenes – Art Direction
When Obsidian Entertainment was tasked with putting together a standalone product set in the Fallout universe, they said that going to Vegas was a no brainer. It was an environment that had yet to be investigated in the Fallout universe, and yet was close enough in location to the original Fallout game that it could be an interesting link to the past. However, getting the right look for New Vegas became a challenge, and with some general ideas, the art direction team went to work to find a look and style that would merge old and new looks of the city of Vegas, as well as its inhabitants.
If you want to see the process that the team went through, we have a new Behind the Scenes video that talks up art direction and the ideas that the development team kicked around while creating the world of Fallout New Vegas.
Follow the link to watch the full development video. Fallout New Vegas is set to hit PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 on October 19th, 2010 from Obsidian Entertainment and Bethesda.
