Yakuza 4 Formally Announced to US Audiences
When it was announced at E3 this year that Yakuza 4 would come to the US, I was rather surprised. I mean, Yakuza 3 had only been out for about two and a half months here in the states, and there was a far amount of controversy with the fact that Sega cut items from the game for US audiences.
Yakuza 4 has gone dark for a few months, but we now have a few more tidbits for fans of the series. First off, the game will ship here completely intact with all items from the Japanese version save for an obscure Japanese trivia game. Also, the game is taking place in the seedy underbelly of Tokyo, which may be a first for the series. I could be mistaken, but I always thought that the game took place in a fictional part of Tokyo. Also, it looks as if the names for each of the characters will stay the same for the US release, which means your heroes are Kazuma, Akiyama, Tanimura and Saejima.
