What is this Red Dead Redemption screenshot reffing?

The hell does this mean?
I’m pretty sure this is spoiler-free material, since this area was never referenced in any storyline cutscene that I saw. This graffiti can be found in the upper level of the barn at Beecher’s Hope, in the last section of the continent that you unlock. It clearly says “Oh my son, My blessed son.” You can see it well before the game’s final act, so it is not fallout from the ending… nor does it seem to be from events before the game since John Marston’s son is, well, fine. Is this a nod to a Western movie or something? Creeped me out when I found it, I can tell you.

A quick Google searched turned up that it's a cheat code that let's you play as Jack (I'm assuming that is another character) but why it's on display could be an Easter egg. Maybe there are more? That would be cool if all the games cheats where spread throughout the desert.
Given what happens (NO SPOILERS), that is a very odd explanation. This was certainly the only message of this type that I saw in the game. Weird.
His Dad is in the game and you can unlock him and go back in time.
