Well, here’s what that Babysitting Mama doll looks like

From the front, an adorable stuffed tyke. From the back, a bionic child-thing bent on nothing less than the destruction of the entire human race.
I’ve got a soft spot for this one, thanks to the combination of nostalgia for Cooking Mama and the ridiculousness of the plushie peripheral. I don’t know what’s worse, that I’m considering a game based on baby-centric motion controls, or that I’m entertaining wistful memories of a franchise that debuted in 2006. And hasn’t stopped since.
From the press materials, we can expect over fifty “challenges,” including a multiplayer mode. Which I guess would require two dolls. Although you could probably always just gut a teddy bear and have at it.
Amazon has Babysitting Mama listed for only $40, which is probably a crazy deal considering that Crafting Mama – the new DS game – will sell for $30. Man, the Wii / DS pricing market is so completely weird.
Crafting Mama arrives on DS October 26. Babysitting Mama is expected November 16.
