See Move And Sports Champions In Action
While I hope to have my hands on PlayStation Move at least a couple of days before launch and will post my own impressions here, previews and reviews are starting to show up on the web. With something like this video previews are vital, especially when they mention the minor quirks and give you a good look at how it seems to work in an environment that isn’t a marketing demo.
This 7-minute video from PlayStation Universe walks through a session of Sports Champions from startup through quick trips through each of the mini-games.
Upsides? I found the way the table tennis paddle tracks rotation to be pretty neat, and his mention of disc golf mimicking his regular problems throwing a frisbee to be cool. It looks like precision is the name of the game with some Move titles, anyway. Downsides? Having to do the quick initialization of the Move each time you start up a new mini-game, even though you can tell from a short clip in the video it’s something you can learn to do quickly.
