New screenshots and concept art for Alice: Madness Returns
We’ve received a few concept art pieces, screenshots and a teaser trailer for Alice: Madness Returns (PC, PS3, and Xbox 360). Alice: Madness Returns is the sequel to American McGee’s Alice which was favorably received by critics.
The concept art looks pretty promising (concept art almost always does), depicting a few iconic scenes from Alice in Wonderland with a decidedly dark interpretation. Particularly interesting is the conceptual take on the tea party as taking place at the center of a maelstrom of tea and tea accessories. Whether or not developer Spicy Chicken will be able to translate an awesome concept painting into an awesome level remains to be seen. The game is slated for release sometime in 2011.
Also released today at TGS are some interesting screenshots that show a couple of rather evil-looking tea pot enemies.
