Fallout: New Vegas, You Had Me at Wayne Newton
While I knew that Fallout: New Vegas was going to be a day one buy for me, it felt as if something was missing. I mean, if you are going to have a game set in Vegas, you cannot go about leaving out the greatest Vegas icon ever to hit the strip.
Well, Bethesda fixed this issue today with the announcement today with the star studded voice cast for Fallout: New Vegas, headlining it with, you guessed it, Wayne Newton. Wayne Newton smooth vocals will guide you through the Nevada wasteland as the Mojave DJ. One has to wonder if he will be on 99.9 FM (trust me, it is a California to Vegas radio joke).
Also joining Wayne Newton, will be Matthew Perry of Friends fame, voicing Benny, a two faced gamgster. Of course, Ron Perlman will be back as the ever popular narrator dropping his catchphrase, “War. War never changes”.
And if that was not enough, three characters that can join you on your journey through the wasteland will be voice by high end talent. Danny Trejo, of Machette fame, will voice Raul the Ghoul, a mechanic and former gun man. Zach Levi, from Chuck, will voice Arcade, a member of a cult known as the Followers of the Apocalypse, and will have a mysterious past. Finally, geek favorite and Guild creator, Felicia Day will voice Veronica, a Scribe from the Brotherhood of Steel.
You can see the rest of the voice cast as well as more info on Fallout: New Vegas after the jump. Fallout: New Vegas is releasing in October 2010 on PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 from Obsidian Studios and Bethesda Softworks.
