Marvel Super Hero Squad: The Infinity Gauntlet is on the way, a sequel to last year’s Marvel Super Hero Squad.

Which sucked.

I mean, the basic combat was okay, if boring. But the 2P co-op camera was atrocious. Something that should have been a fun combination of family gameplay and comics fan service – in the style of LEGO Batman – turned into a typical licensed mess. So let’s hope the sequel turns out better. The press release is below. It does not mention a release date, but THIS FALL seems likely.

Unlike last year’s version, the new game will appear on 360 and PS3 in addition to Wii and DS. Let the Trophy/Gamerscore whoring commence. Hero up!
