Konami chases Nintendo’s 3DS reveal out the gate with five titles in the works, including Metal Gear Solid

I thought Nintendo’s showing of the 3DS would have been better if everything about it hadn’t been leaked ahead of time, but no matter. What’s most impressive about the platform to me is the software support that’s already being promised. Take this lineup from Konami, for example. Konami and Nintendo go way back, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen this many big games from them announced at the launch of a Nintendo platform. And Metal Gear Solid? After the poor sales of Twin Snakes, I’m surprised they’re going down that road again.

What Konami has announced for 3DS amounts to the following five titles:

Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D “The NAKED Sample”
Contra
Frogger
Baseball (working title)
Pro Evolution Soccer

I’m at the very least going to be looking at the first two, if not the first three. There’s little info beyond the titles, but you can read the press release below.
