PhysX in Mafia II Looks Explosively Good
2K Czech and 2K Games have added a little applesauce on top of the already great looking Mafia II for PC owners. We now have a complete PhysX trailer with footage capture by 2K Games and Nvidia that shows off the advanced nature of the explosions and particle effects that can be generated with the new technology. The screenshot above does not do the tech justice, so you can check the video after the break to see all the graphical extras in action.
I have to admit that I love it when companies cater to the strengths of the PC as a platform, instead of just doing a generic port from the Xbox 360 version as most companies are prone to do. I for one, am completely on board for Mafia II on the PC, and cannot wait to see more of it during our E3 meeting in June.
Mafia II is set for retail on August 24th, 2010 on PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 from 2K Czech and 2K Games.
