More Info And Screens for Fallout: New Vegas
Today, the apparent floodgates were opened on Fallout: New Vegas, as we received a couple dozen screenshots and more information on the new title coming from Bethesda and Obsidian Entertainment this fall.
The new screens show off the Helios One power plant, home to one awesomely destructive death ray that is based off of solar energy. We also got a screen of the companion wheel, allowing players to give their companions simple directives, like covering fire, standing put and things of that sort. This was a feature sorely missing from Fallout 3, and should help people keep their party members alive, instead of watching them die in a blaze of glory as the rush into a five deep line of super mutants.
The screens also detail the new weapon customizations that will come into play in New Vegas. Take for instance a simple 9mm pistol. First we have a shot with the base pistol, followed by that same pistol with an extended clip mod, and finally one with the same clip mod, as well as a scope on the top. You can also cusomize things like weapon stocks and metal colors. All the screens can be found after the jump.
Fallout: New Vegas will hit sometime this fall on Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PCs.
