It’s a BIRD, it’s a PLANE, it’s Super Scribblenauts!

The first Scribblenauts was a hit with gamers and the press alike. Just ask any of us who own it. The opinion is as unanimous as these things get without me actually asking: the game’s concept and style were brilliant, but the mechanics of moving were totally broken. Thankfully, that appears to have been remedied in this sequel.
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today unveiled Super Scribblenauts, the sequel to the award-winning Scribblenauts, which has sold more than one million copies in North America alone. In Super Scribblenauts, players use the stylus and touch screen to help Maxwell, the game’s hero, acquire the “Starite,” the prize earned from solving the puzzle in even more robust challenges and redesigned levels.
Created and being developed by 5TH Cell, Super Scribblenauts offers hours of original entertainment, upgraded controls and innovative new gameplay mechanics: Players will be able to write any object that comes to mind and modify it in any way they desire, using adjectives that change the color, size, elements, behaviors and many other aspects of objects in the game. Multiple descriptors can be combined to produce inventive new items, allowing players imaginations to run wild for a truly unique and individualistic experience.
Super Scribblenauts will be available in Fall 2010 for Nintendo DS.
Nintendo Power blew out a ton of coverage for the game a few months ago when we just knew it as Scribblenauts 2, but 5th Cell’s upcoming sequel, due this fall, has a new name and some art to go with it. Head below for the rest.
