In this week’s Boosting Your Gamerscore we look at Madden 06, one of the launch titles that came out for the Xbox 360.  You see, at the launch of the Xbox 360′s lifecycle, the achievement was a new thing.  Most game developers seemed to be confused by these newfound rewards that would give people a score for doing some action in the game.  While some titles figured it out, sports titles seemed to be the most confused as most of the early titles shipped with little to no achievements in them.  Madden 06 is one of those titles.

If you are looking to boost your gamerscore, Madden 06 is one of those titles that can get you a 1000 points without breaking much of a sweat.  However, it might take you a bit of time to get you said 1000 points.

Some of the easier achievements in the game include you having to move the right stick in any menu, or entering the legends book.  Also easy to get are the finishing an offline game, first touchdown and some stat based achievments.  Just set the quarters to 15 minutes and you will get most of the touchdown, passing, rushing and sack achievements.  The last two look tough, but are easy to get, and will require you to nothing more than hit the A button occasionally.  Winning the super bowl and finishing 30 franchise years can be all netted at the same time by picking the New England Patriots, and then simming out 30 seasons.  You are bound to win the super bowl during that run, and once you finish the 30 years simmed, you get that last achievement for 400 points.  Now beware that it took me a total of about 5 hours over three nights to get those last two achievements, so on time merit, this is not the quickest way to hit your gamerscore.  Also, the game is not that good overall, and is probably one of the worst Madden games ever to come out on a console.
